PlayStation With The Checkmate.
Sony is involved in a lot of different venues and industries. What they are most known for is their PlayStation Video Game console. As of now, the PS5 console is the hottest item in the market, and also the most difficult to acquire. The machine is impression and so is the software that can be played on it, but something else has impressed me even more—Sony’s chess moves.
Take a moment to hear me out!
* Epic Games: Sony invested $200 million into Epic Games—who created Fortnite, Gears Of War, and the Unreal Engine that powers many of the most popular games in the industry.
* Discord: Sone features seem to be heading to the PlayStation Network. This is going to be huge if implemented correctly.
* Crunchyroll: Imagine if Sony decided to package Crunchyroll and it’s over 1,000 Anime shows into it’s PS Now service? That would be a service that none of the PlayStation competitors could provide.
* Nixxes Software: This acquisition will free up the rest of the PlayStation roster of studios to develop games solely for the PS5. Nixxes Software will handle any ports that are slated to hit the PC market, and that is very beneficial because man-power doesn’t need to be taken away from elsewhere.
* Evolution Championship Series (EVO): Sony and Endeavor (American holding company for talent and media agencies) now co-own the yearly fighting tournament that has hosted many matches since it’s formation in 1996. This move allows PlayStation to cement it’s place within the Fighting Games community—which is huge, and still active.
Now remember, Housemarque, Firesprite, Fabrik Games, and Bluepoint Games have also been acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2021. These studios will provide genre versatility to the PS5 Video Game lineup. I did not include them as key chess moves because the list of pieces that I highlighted give the PlayStation brand a wider spectrum within the Gaming culture, and that was done by making strategic moves that didn’t seem impactful at first, but eventually ended up becoming the “checkmate”.

A Look Back At My Gaming Career.
Meet The Latest Edition To The NY Giants Football Team.
Ben Bredeson
Ben Bredeson will be traded from the Baltimore Ravens to the NY Giants. Ben is a young, big offensive lineman who will provide the Giants a possible starter at Offensive Guard. At 6’5’ 315 pounds, Bredeson has the size to take on the big defensive tackles that opposing NFC East teams will throw at the Giants offense.
Here is the scouting report on Ben Bredeson from NFL.com:
